 Born
in Collinsville and raised in Bowen. Gavin attended Queens Beach
State School & Bowen State High School where he was Sports Captain
1988. He completed a Trades Certificate as a Fitter & Turner at
Abbott Point & Bowen Coke. Then he relocated to Rockhampton & attended
Central Queensland University for his Bachelor of Arts degree,
majoring in Law & Social Welfare & Aboriginal & Torres Strait
Islander Studies. Gavin has maintained strong links with the Bowen
community & returned regularly with his family. He has in the past
years attended local Bowen schools as a motivational speaker to
students. Gavin & his family established themselves again in Bowen
in 2006 & they became active members of Bowen Christian Family
Centre. Gavin took up the position as Music Director in April 2006. |
